And so to London and Hyde Park

Mrs Snowy - you go girl. London in the sixties, I'm jealous.
Me too. I tell her I stayed back and lived like a hermit on the Snowy saving money while she was gallivanting around the world. We hadn't met then, but that's an irrelevance. She just smiles sweetly...

Mrs Snowy the woman of mystery - way to go!

You girls must have a trade union because you certainly stick together, don't you. My lesbian neighbours at one time declared me an honorary woman, which was some compliment. Does that entitle me to join your union?

Yeah - it wouldn't be the same without you! But we may have to ask you to leave the room sometimes ... for your own safety
LOL - poofy ball! - wouldn't make many friends in Europe! I was in London in the mid '70s so missed all the excitement of Mrs Snowy's time there - but it was still a raging town. Love your photos.

*gurgle* This in a way is so interesting as I live less than an hour's train ride from London and seeing it fresh through another's eyes reminds me that it is quite a cool place to be near :)

Lovely pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Been meaning to tell you that all along--I've enjoyed all your photos.

Trouble is that we invent great games like rugby and cricket and football then turn out to be rubbish at them and get panned by everyone.
I very tactfully refrained from any comment on that. But anyway, you did beat us to win the Rugby World Cup a few years ago, and you did win the cricket Ashes from us not so long ago, so it's not all bad.
As I recall, the seventies weren't all bible classes and orange juice either. I'll bet you have some tales to tell of your time there.
We always seem to take for granted what's become familiar to us.
Thanks for dropping by. Glad you are enjoying them.
Wonderful photos bringing back lots of great memories of our time there. We stayed directly across from Hyde Park. My husband and I are huge Anglophiles, so when we finally got there, we thought everything was beautiful, even the filthy train station at the airport. I even took photos of the toilets I was so thrilled. I'll have to post the studio shot I did of my husband as an homage to the British gent and the double decker buses.

Lucky Mrs. Snowy to have been there during such an electric time.
I'll look forward to your post on that.
