Our two sons were home.
Our two sons were home for Easter. This year was rather special, as it will probably be the last Easter at home for some time for our elder son. He heads off to London in three weeks time to live and work in London. He's a Java developer, so is assured of employment. He has a five year ancestral visa, so can stay there virtually as long he likes. We know we'll see him again in around six weeks when we are in the U.K. I'm already feeling rather teary though. I always am when I have to say goodbye to my kids.
The first time he turned on the TV when he got here, our younger son saw where there had been a fire at his place of work in Brisbane. It seems that they were able to save 75% of it, so he may have a job when he turns up tomorrow, or he may not. He isn't too concerned either way, as he felt it was time to look around for another job anyway. He'll always be grateful to his present employers as they gave him a go when so many others didn't. He's come a long way to rebuilding that precious self esteem since he first started there.
We spoke to our daughter in Inverness, Scotland, again. She's not enjoying being snowed in, and is longing to come home to sunny Queensland. That won't happen for twelve months though, as she and her Scottish boyfriend need to earn some money for various visa applications, fares etc. They seem very happy, so that makes us happy.
Love you, our precious children. We're so very, very proud of you all.

God bless your happy family, Snowy. More power to you and the clan.
Ahh I got weepy too! I think Easter is a nicer time for families than Christmas - so much more time to be together and less stress.
I thnk we have photos of our children in that same spot...Dreamworld?
And yes, FD, that shot was taken at Dreamworld around 20 years ago. Happy days...
Three very attractive children. I will be leaving my children on Saturday and am trying to get through this week without spoiling it by feeling depressed about leaving. It is always difficult to part and I'm sure it gets no easier with age. (I said good bye to my parents the other day - I have to say that I am not sure which is hardest these days - leaving them or the kids)
That sucks about your poor sister! What an awful thing to do. Hope the knee operation goes smoothly.
