Porn spammer? Update.

Comments

He's a pornbot and keeps popping up. Just report him to the Vox Team and they'll toss him out the window (figuratively speaking).

Some twat left me a comment on one of my posts in Russian. It looked like it linked to something so I clicked on it and ended up on a Russian porn site. Why do they do that? It's most annoying.
this guy spammed me also - luckily, i can read Russian, so i didn't click on the porn site - but, thanks for the link - i've had no repeats, but i'm going right over to block him just in case
You might block him from the groups you host too.
yeah - i checked through the groups he'd joined and both of the groups i hosted were among them - i threw him out and blocked him right away!
Thanks. I'll check he hasn't joined any of my groups. Vox have deleted the accounts of quite a few people sending that Russian porn SPAM after it is reported to them. More just seem to keep popping up again though.
Yes, he was in both the groups I moderate as well.
He’s joined two of my groups, too, but no posts yet. Vox has been really good lately at deleting spambot comments and sploggers, so you did the right thing by reporting him.
I had spam from him and another gent four times last week. Gent? I mean cad! I reported both to VOX and received a personal letter from the VOX's staff letting me know they had deleted the account. Yet another reason I like VOX, even if spammers try to weasel their way in.
I haven't heard anything back from Vox yet. His account was still there when I checked.
Looks like he is gone now...
Like you, C., I have had good responses of late from Vox—including about this spammer. I don’t know if anyone noticed, but spambots had been adding posts to Vox like crazy over the last four weeks or so—dozens each minute in some cases. They’d kill some off, only for them to return via another IP. I can only imagine they took longer to act on vcheslav because of all the IP-blocking they had to do on those splogs.
