The Singapore Flyer and the Orchid Garden
The Singapore Flyer had only been opened for a few weeks when we went on it. The owners like to remind you that it is higher than the London Eye. The views were quite spectacular as shown below. The first one shows a major project being undertaken, but I just can't remember what it is. If cranes on the skyline are an indicator of a city's progress, then Singapore City has to be positively booming.
Looking back at Singapore shows this novel site for a football ground in the foreground.
Looking back the other way with Indonesia on the horizon.
The visit to the Singapore Orchid Gardens was also worthwhile. We're no orchid aficionados but the following stood out for us.
